Glen Helen Raceway, CA — The Weddle Swinger's Ball historically kicks off the Weddle Shootout Series at the MORE season opener in Barstow. Things got shuffled this year with the addition of a new race to the Shootout schedule. Though re-located and rescheduled, Class 9 racers ended up with a treat. Sixteen Class 9 teams assembled at the  Glen Helen Raceway for some fast, tight and whoopdie action for this year's Weddle Swinger's Ball.

Thomas Burns wins back-to-back Weddle Swinger's Ball titles. This season's changers did nothing to throw off Thomas Burns' game in Weddle-equipped 925. Burns' combined times over the weekend put him on top of the Class 9 Weddle Swinger's Ball podium for the second straight year. 923 Richard Finn Jr. also matched his last year's result finishing second. 927 Mark Blakely finished third.

Weddle-equipped teams on top. Along with the podium sweep in Class 9, Weddle-equipped teams also swept the Class 1600 podium with 1647 Robby Hendrickson in first, 1609 Daniel Richens taking second and 1640 Rene Maldonado taking the third spot on the podium. In Class 12, `1246 Chad Cumming took the win in  Weddle MD-equipped 1246.
